Baltic amber is a resin from a conifer plant that is now extinct (pinus succinifera), which has undergone
a fossilisation process more than 40 million years ago. Sometimes the amber also contains a perfectly preserved fossil, such as
insects or the like.
The history of amber is an epic in the history of mankind. It is exclusive, rare and precious, and perhaps the oldest gem to be used
by man as an ornament. It was once thought to be as precious as gold.
The most ancient civilisations (Assyrians, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans and Arabs) would use it for its physically, emotionally and
spiritually regenerating properties.
It soothes pain in children during teething, helps with rheumatism and back pain, soothes inflammation of the respiratory tract and
thyroid gland, induces trust and optimism, aids relaxation, stimulates mental elasticity, creativity and memory, and induces radiance,
warmth and a positive mood.
Worn by mothers all over the world, both during pregnancy and breast-feeding..
